About the Proposal category

This section reserved for the final versions of Hectagon Improvement Proposals most of which have been previously discussed in the Discord, and the Community Suggestion forum.
HIP includes (but not limited to): how the protocol work, investment pipeline, IC member, etc.

Only mod can post and anyone can comment and vote.
If proposal passed, it will ultimately lead to a Weight-based vote.

A proposal will follow one of 2 paths:

  • [Polling] => [Approved] => [OnGoing] => [Closed]
  • [Polling] => [Failed]

[Pooling] indicates that this Proposal is up for voting.
[Approved] indicates that this Proposal is approved but not yet started on Hectagon Snapshot space.
[OnGoing] indicates that this Proposal is on going, you can go to Hectagon Snapshot space for voting.
[Closed] indicates that this Proposal is closed, nothing else can be done.
[Failed] indicates that this Proposal does not go through review process.

Rules

  • Include an HIP (Hectagon Improvement Proposal) number in the post title.
  • Add a poll option in your proposal.
  • Start a discussion on Discord or Community Proposal Forum prior to posting a proposal.
  • Be ready to engage with the community e.g. by answering their replies, addressing their concerns.
  • Criteria for a Weight-based Vote
  • The proposal should be live for at least one day.
  • The proposal should receive at least five posts from different members to ensure sufficient engagement.
  • The author should indicate clearly when the Weight-based vote shall commence (see the Template section below).

Summary

A simple description of the proposal’s end result and desired change; should be no more than a few succinct sentences.

Motivation

Explain why this proposal is necessary or useful for the protocol. The author is encouraged to add visual elements such as charts to support their arguments.

Proposal

Lay out your proposal - explain how it is going to tackle the issue at hand and present the action items.

Polling Period

The polling process begins now and will end at HH:MM UTC on DD/MM/YYYY. After this, a vote on-chain will be put up at HH:MM UTC on DD/MM/YYYY.
